March 16, 2010:  We're pleased to announce that FOSMAS has a new President, Paula Myers.  Paula has been a very enthusiastic, active, and tireless volunteer for our group, and brings a wide range of experience to the job, from fostering, adoption center coordinator, petfair lead, event planner, to Board of Directors member.

Our goal is to continue (and to expand) the programs started by the founders of FOSMAS; and to continue to foster a collaborative relationship with the Shelter and County Staff. We are growing: each year we are adding new fundraisers, new supporters and new volunteers.

We're always open to your ideas for helping to reduce the euthanasia rate at the San Martin Animal Shelter, and for new venues for our adoption fairs, events and fundraisers. Please come to our general meeting (see below) or see our volunteer page if you would like to volunteer with us.

Permanent FOSMAS adoption center at PetSmart Milpitas

On Feb. 3rd, 2007, FOSMAS opened a new satellite adoption center at the Petsmart in Milpitas. We have a variety of cats and kittens available for adoption at this location.

We desperately need help staffing this location and for weekend Pet Adoption Fairs. Can you spare a couple of hours per week to help take care of the kitties by providing fresh food & water, scooping duty, and giving them some love and playtime?
